SOCHE Honors Three Franklin University Faculty and Staff Members for Their Outstanding Campus Impact and Excellence in 2023-2024

Franklin University, the leading educator of working adults, is proud to recognize Dr. JoAnn Jordan, Lea Mederer, and Ryan Brainerd, as exceptional faculty and staff award recipients announced by the Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE). These three individuals join a group of individuals from 15-member institutions being recognized for the 2023-2024 school year for their campus impact, as well as staff and faculty excellence.

Franklin University’s Honorees:
•    Dr. JoAnn Jordan | Chair, Allied Healthcare | Faculty Excellence Award
•    Lea Mederer | Director of Financial Aid | Staff Excellence Award
•    Ryan Brainerd | I.T. Enterprise Architect | Campus Impact Award

Academic officers at each university selected one Faculty Excellence Award winner based on their institution’s criteria, with special consideration of demonstrated excellence in teaching, service, and/or scholarship. Similarly, Human Resource officers selected one Staff Excellence Award winner based on their institution’s criteria, with special consideration of demonstrated excellence in student success, service, and/or assessment. Completing this triumvirate of accolades, the Campus Impact Award recognizes exceptional performance that has made a positive impact on the entire school or campus. This category was open to faculty, staff, or administrators.
