Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults, is pleased to announce it has once again been named a Military Friendly® School by VIQTORY – a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that connects the military community to civilian employment and education and entrepreneurial opportunities. Now in its eleventh year of recognition, the University is proud to have earned the silver level of recognition, adding validation of its dedication to serving those who serve our country.

Of the 8,800+ schools evaluated nationwide, Franklin is one of 29 schools in Ohio to be named a Military Friendly® School and only one of four schools in Ohio to earn the prestigious, Silver distinction. Schools were assessed based on their ability to meet the threshold for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence and loan default rates for all students and specifically, for veterans. Schools earning the honor of Silver distinction scored within 20% of the 10th best school in their category, signifying the standard of excellence. Earning the 2020-2021 designation authenticates Franklin’s focus on helping U.S. military veterans, service members and their spouses/dependents who wish to pursue a degree and receive the assistance they need to be successful.

About Military Friendly​®​ Schools

The Military Friendly​®​ Schools list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources for more than 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey from participating institutions. The survey questions, methodology, criteria, and weighting were developed with the assistance of an independent research firm and an advisory council of educators and employers. Ernst & Young, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction, and advisory services, independently evaluated the scoring methodology used for the Military Friendly® Schools list using the criteria set forth by VIQTORY. The services performed by EY are were limited to advisory procedures and do not provide assurance over the scoring methodology.
