Franklin University, a leading educator of working adults, is pleased to announce the addition of its new M.S. in Cybersecurity program to its College of Arts, Sciences & Technology offerings. Whether looking for career advancement in cybersecurity or to transition into more cyber-focused roles, Franklin’s M.S. in Cybersecurity is a great way to broaden one's knowledge and skills.

Aligned with industry-leading certifications, the M.S. in Cybersecurity program’s inclusion of emerging technologies like cloud, containers and Blockchain will position graduates for careers in government or a wide variety of industries including insurance, retail, or banking and finance. Throughout the 16-month program, coursework helps build a strong foundation in the basics with courses in cryptography, advanced network security, ethical hacking and security governance.

By applying technical and critical thinking skills, graduates will be able to help organizations navigate cybersecurity challenges at the operational, tactical and strategic levels. With these sought-after abilities your marketability will increase, as demand for analytics professionals is projected to grow 13% through 2027, which is faster than average (Source information provided by Economic Modeling Specialists International (EMSI))

Students build competencies in preventative, detective and corrective countermeasures through Franklin's experiential learning. Students will have an opportunity to mimic common security threats – hacking websites and wireless networks, sniffing networks to capture passwords, and spoofing network packages – in order to secure networks and prevent data theft and intrusion. In addition, to address the organizational, legal, ethical and managerial aspects of cybersecurity, Franklin's program builds management-level knowledge by examining strategic aspects of cybersecurity such as ethics, privacy, and information security policy and governance.

To transform students into well-rounded cybersecurity professionals, coursework helps build the soft skills employers desire. Throughout the program students will sharpen communication, presentation and listening skills to create differentiation, whether working as part of a team or as a solutions-oriented leader.

Franklin's M.S. in Cybersecurity can be completed in 16 months, 100% online, with multiple start dates per year. Learn more: https://www.franklin.edu/degrees/masters/cybersecurity
